In your readings for this week, you may notice that toxicity in the business organizational culture can come from multiple sources – toxic leadership, and/or ineffective leadership, lack of adequate supervision over managers, failure to consider persistent employee grievances as a systemic problem, failure to take corrective action, etc. In contrast, narcissistic leadership can also give rise to toxic organizational culture. However, the readings make clear that toxic leadership can be unlike narcissistic leadership.
