Design a space mission for mitigating a threat (or threats) to current or future satellite infrastructure of national interest to Australia located in the geostationary belt.

The assignment question aims to design a space mission that aligns with Australian national space priorities. The question is nuanced and challenging. There is no clear-cut “best” solution that we are seeking – the assignment is as much about articulating the value proposition from the mission you conceive as it is about performing the technical analysis to design the mission. My suggestion is to design the mission around the removal of orbital debris from the GEO belt. Mathematical workings must be shown for the mission. Utilise the rubric to ensure highest marks are able to be given. Diagram inclusions would be welcomed, but not at the detriment of the constraints of the assignment in word count/page limitations. AI must not be detectable within the assignment.
